The minute valvatiform-shelled Hydrobiidae are less studied than other hydrobiid gastropods. In this paper, new data on these snails are presented, which have been collected at twelve springs in southern Greece: one in Boeotia, one on Evvoia Island, and ten on the Peloponnese Peninsula. Mitochondrial cytochrome oxidase subunit I (COI) and nuclear histone (H3) have been used to confirm the determinations and infer the relationships of the studied gastropods. They represent the genera Daphniola, Graecoarganiella and Isimerope. New localities, expanding the known geographic ranges, have been presented for Daphniola hadei and Daphniola louisi. A species of Daphniola found at two localities has been identified as a species new to science, and its description, including the shell, penis, and female reproductive organs is given. Possible relationships between Graecoarganiella and Isimerope are discussed; their representatives are possibly new species. At one locality a single specimen likely represents a new genus: it was found to be most closely related with Islamia, but genetically (p-distance) too distant to be congeneric with Islamia. 17 pp., 8 figs, gr. 8 [16.5 x 23.7 cm].

The Balkan Peninsula is inhabited by the worldwide most diverse subterranean gastropod fauna. This fauna is still poorly studied, since its habitats are not easily accessible, and its sampled populations are mostly not rich in specimens' numbers. Often only empty shells are known, but the shell is hardly useful, not only in phylogeny reconstruction, but even in species determination. The exclusively obligatory subterranean family Moitessieriidae is especially poorly studied. Representatives of the genus Paladilhiopsis Pavlovi?, 1913 (Moitessieriidae) collected at three localities, distributed in Croatia and Bosnia & Herzegovina, were studied. The pigmentation of their shells and soft parts, as well as the female and male reproductive organs in one taxon, are presented. The partial sequences of the molecular markers mitochondrial cytochrome oxidase subunit I (COI) and nuclear histone 3 (H3) were used to infer their systematic status and phylogenetic relationships. Two species new to science are described. For one of them, also studied anatomically, 15 specimens were sequenced for COI, and all show the same haplotype. New taxa: Paladilhiopsis stellatus n. sp., Paladilhiopsis arion n. sp. 20 pp., 9 figs, 4 tabs, gr. 8 [16.5 x 23.7 cm].

During a field trip to the western part of the Balkan Peninsula in 2016, investigations of several caves and karstic springs revealed six new gastropod species living in subterranean waters and resulted in some noteworthy faunistic records. Five of the new species are assigned to the genus Paladilhiopsis Pavlovi?, 1913, namely P. prekalensis sp. n., P. lozeki sp. n., P. szekeresi sp. n., P. wohlberedti sp. n., P. falniowskii sp. n. and one to the genus Plagigeyeria Tomlin, 1930, namely P. steffeki sp. n. New Albania and Kosovo distribution records are given for Iglica illyrica Schütt, 1975, Plagigeyeria zetaprotogona Schütt, 1960, Vinodolia matjasici (Bole, 1961), and the first georeferenced record is given for Saxurinator schlickumi Schütt, 1960. The most important environmental factors influencing habitat selection of these subterranean freshwater gastropods are briefly discussed. 23 pp., 34 figs, gr. 8.

In February 2017 we investigated several caves and karstic springs in Laos for the presence of underground freshwater gastropod species. We report previously unrecorded freshwater gastropod assemblages in the largest cave in Laos, Tham Khon Dôn, and in the third largest cave, Pha Soung, in Khammouane Province, with single finds in Na Li Cave (Khammouane Province), an unnamed cave near Vieng Thong (Bolikhamsay Province) and a small karst spring near Phonsavan (Xianghouan Province). All 15 species recorded and described herein are new to science. Four species are assigned to the new genus Pseudoiglica: P. pseudoiglica sp. n., P. olsavskyi sp. n., P. kameniari sp. n., and P. phonsavanica sp. n. Three species are assigned to the new genus Thamkhondonia: T. moureti sp. n., T. vacquiei sp. n., and T. smidai sp. n. Eight species are assigned to the genus Tricula Benson, 1843: T. valenasi sp. n., T. davisi sp. n., T. spelaea sp. n., T. lenahani sp. n., T. reischuetzorum sp. n., T. phasoungensis sp. n., T. bannaensis sp. n., and T. viengthongensis sp. n. 26 pp., 48 figs, gr. 8.

The triviids, usually interpreted as Trivia arctica (Pulteney, 1799), are revised. Each species is discussed and compared with congenerates while type specimens are figured. The intraspecific variation is verbalized and illustrated by tabulations of measurements. Trivia corsica n. sp., is described from Calvi, Corsica. Lectotypes are designated for Trivia multilirata (G. B. Sowerby II, 1870) in the Natural History Museum London, UK and Trivia mollerati Locard, 1894 in the Muséum national d'Histoire naturelle Paris, France. Pseudotrivia samariensis C. N. Cate, 1979 and Trivia tortuga C. N. Cate, 1979 are synonymized with Trivia hispanica C. N. Cate, 1979 and their type locality is corrected to the Pleistocene of Nieuwpoort, Belgium. The formerly fossil taxon Trivia merlini Fehse & Van de Haar, 2015 is now confirmed extant for the North Sea. 47 pp., 16 plates, br. 4.
