Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. First Edition. A very good copy bound in contemporary full leather with embossed arms to front board and gilt decoration to spine with black leather title label. Long presentation inscription in latin to fep. 268pp + 2 fold-out charts. A handsome volume.

Hardcover. The Posthuma of Gregorie, 1607-1646, was first published in 1649; the Notes in 1646. He was the Prebendary of Salisbury in 1641 but was deprived of it during the Rebellion. "The miracle of his age for critical and curious learning" (though "some found him excentric in his flights"). Small binders label of H. Faulkner. Half leather rebacked with original spine laid on. Marbled endpapers. The text block is very good with only minor marks. The binding is worn and a little glue has penetrated to the early and late blanks causing small stains where they lie close to the leather. Numbered bookplate of United Grand Lodge of A. F. & A.
