Grisolle was a professor at the Paris faculty of medicine and a member of the Académie de Médecine. He was the author of the two-volume "Traité élémentaire et pratique de pathologie interne" (1844).His name is associated with "Grisol…le's sign", an obsolete sign once affiliated with smallpox. Piatti foderati con carta coeva verde a motivi geometrici in rilievo. Strappetto riparato con antica pecetta a margine bianco di pagina 7. Uno strappetto…al margine interno bianco del secondo frontespizio con piccolo forellino, ininfluente. Qualche macchiolina di foxing e leggerissimi aloni in poche pagine, ininfluenti e per il resto esemplare in buone-ottime condizioni di conservazione. Prima edizione italiana di quest'opera del grande medico, clinico e fisico francese Auguste Grisolle nato a Frejus nel 1811. L'autore fu professore alla facoltà di medicina di Parigi e membro della Académie de Médecine. Castiglioni, 706 scrive dell'autore: " Fra i clinici francesi più illustri del sec. scorso citiamo Grisolle il cui Trattato di Patologia Interna merita particolare attenzione per l'esattezza delle indicazioni diagnostiche". La prima edizione italiana che si presenta notevolmente aumentata rispetto alle edizoni francesi precedenti, si avvale della traduzione e delle note dei due noti medici italiani Alessandro del Corso e Ettore d'Urso. Buon esemplare in bella legatura coeva.
