This is the first textbook ever written for the sport of trampolining. Laurens (Larry) V. Griswold (1905-1996) was an American gymnast and entertainer who was involved in the early development of the trampoline. Together with gymnast and tumbler, George Nissen, Griswold worked to develop the first prototype trampoline and later established the Griswold-Nissen Trampoline & Tumbling Company to manufacture trampolines. Signed presentation from Griswold on the front endpaper: "To Bob Buckley- Sincerely, Larry Griswold." Griswold's signature is also printed in facsimile on the title page.
