Boards are tanned with rubbing & loss to tips and edges. Previous owners name on half title page, otherwise appears unmarked. The Mecklenburg Resolves were a set of resolutions adopted by the citizens of Mecklenburg County, North Carolina, on May 31, 1775, after the battles of Lexington and Concord. These resolutions, which were delivered to the Second Continental Congress by James Jack, declared the Mecklenburg militia independent from British rule and established a local government.
