Softcover. Purple wraps portfolios elephant folio size (15.5 x 20.5"). 24 portfolios, Illustrated with BW photogravures. Each portfolio contains a few bw plates and supporting text sheets. An impressive undertaking, and a great example of these large art publications which were issued in parts to subscribers. Mostly VG, some covers off at hinge of the portfolios, but most are very solid and tight. Better than average, Previous owner bookplate inside each cover.
