Hardcover. Condition: Good. First Trade Edition. Octavo, 168 pages, green cloth, front free endpaper excised. Ex libris Charles E. Warren per rubber stamp on pastedown. This play was produced at London in 1896. The author was a Chicago realtor. Its first edition was designed by Stone & Kimball, and printed at Cambridge by The University Press. This Rand edition is, I think, related to Gross's lawsuit against Edmund Rostand, accusing Rostand of stealing the plot from Gross's play. The court declared Rostand a plagiarist.
