A disturbing account of the plight of Polish political prisoners in Auschwitz, illustrated throughout with 15 duo-tone reproductions printed in green, after original evocative and disturbing drawings by American artist John Gro…th (1908-1988). As stated on the interior front cover the work is "based on a pamphlet issued by the Polish Underground Labor Movement, translated and published by the Polish Labor group under the title, 'Oswiecim- Camp of Death'. All personal names in the text are fictitious." Wrappers with a few instances of minor stains and abrasions. Wrapper disbound from book block but block still tight and holding. Interior still quite clean with vibrant text and images throughout. Wrappers in good condition, interior in very good condition overall.
