1st printing of the 2nd edition, November 1960. 22pp, printed one side only, (6.75 x 8.75 inches), with biographical notes by Knud H. Ditlevsen. Very Good in green stapled wrappers (soft cover). Edges of covers and spine are a little sun-faded, rubbed. No tears or creases, no markings. Contents are fine, clean and tight. Digital photos available.

This book has a tear approx 1 inch long at the bottom edge of the back cover and spine that has folded back to show the interior edge of the textblock, pencil markings on few pages throughout, mild rubbing to the covers that has resulted in slight fading to the text, gentle creasing on the spine, and an overall light aging to the pages, otherwise this book is in good condition with crisp pages and a clean cover.

Jepsen chose to begin this series with records beginning with the letter M (volume 5), following to the end of the alphabet, starting again from letter A, and continuing through to letter L. Jepsen explains his desire to do so in the foreword to volume 5: "It seems that the greatest of all discographies, 'Jazz Directory,' has stopped publication in the middle of the letter 'L,' and although I know I cannot reach the high standard of 'Jazz Directory' I have decided to begin this work with the letters following 'L' and to the end of the alphabet, after this I will start again from 'A'. Eight volumes are planned in all." The dates on the wrappers are relative; the author was able to use information outside of these date ranges, and more accurate ranges are listed on the front wrapper versos of volumes 4c and 4d, the last of the first eight volumes to be published. Very Good plus in pale green printed wrappers, with light soil, toning to the extremities, and light creasing to the spine.

Pencil inscription to first page. Paper cover has mild edge wear with mild corner curling. Heavy tanning to spine. Mild scratching and marking to covers.
