Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. 1st Edition. See photos for condition details. Hardcover, yellow cloth boards show only minor spotting and light edge bumping. The spine is also darkened. The interior binding is good except for at the rear board where the hinge is cracked at the top and bottom. The binding of the text pages them…selves is tight. There are no signatures, bookplates, library markings etc. The text pages are clean but both end pages and pastedowns are toned and foxed in the exterior page edges also show some spotting. Foxing is also present on the title page, which is because of the paper reacting with the frontispiece image. Please note: at the time of this listing we had multiple copies available, each one listed separately with their own set of photos.

Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Fair. 1st Edition. See photos for condition details. Hardcover in unclipped dust jacket. DJ shows chipping and tearing along the edges, with large pieces missing on the spine bottom and rear. There is also a spot to the right of the title where 2 small pieces of the DJ brok…e loose but are present. These have been placed in a glassine envelope and are now inside the book. Yellow cloth boards underneath are still bright except for some minor soiling and a spot at the bottom of the spine that was exposed from the missing chip on the dust jacket. The internal binding is good for the most part: there are small openings near the top and bottom of the front hinge, that have two small holes that measure about 1/4"and possibly is caused by the binding underneath. There are no signatures or bookplates, no library markings, no handwriting etc. Text pages are clean but there is a lot of foxing, particularly around the frontispiece and end pages.
