Traces d'adhésif sur les gardes.Armand Nakache (1894-1976) est venu très jeune à Paris, il suit des études artistiques de 1909 à 1914 puis après la guerre de 1914-1918 où il est gravement blessé, ce qui lui vaut la Légion d?Honneur, Croix de Guerre, il continua une formation personnelle sans oublier deux années d?études de restauration, notamment avec un spécialiste des Musées de Florence. C'est l?époque du Salon Populiste, il devient membre fondateur et secrétaire général, puis après 1937-1938, il va plus avant; des années de recherche et de silence lui ont permis d?enrichir sa palette de couleurs somptueuses, de lyrisme, d?exaltation et de fougue. Il est l?un des chefs de file de l?expressionnisme et plus tard le maître de "l?expressionnisme fantastique" ainsi que l?a défini l'éminent critique des années 60 Guy Dornand. Graveur et dessinateur remarquable, il a présidé longtemps la Société des Peintres-Graveurs «Le Trait»; Sociétaire du Salon d?Automne, de «Comparaison»; Président de la Société des Artistes Indépendants; membre fondateur des "Peintres témoins de leur temps"; Membre d?Honneur de la Société Nationale des Graveurs Italiens, sa vie sociale sera elle aussi toute consacrée à son unique passion et sa raison de vivre: la Peinture.
