This tribute was written in 1945 by Samuel's son, Frank (Samuel) Herbert (1893-1959), poet, writer and academician. Bethany School was founded by Samuel's father. Whether this particular version, of which a copy is offered for sale, was itself published in 1945 is arguably unlikely but the tribute itself most assuredly was (printed and dated "F.H.K.
