Volume I covers from Aardvark to Cyclops xviii, 1-750, Volume II covers from Cypress to Juniper iv, 751-1514, Volume III covers from Kangaroo to Poor-Me-One iv, 1515-2278, and Volume IV covers from Porcupine to Zebra plus Index iv, 2279-3042. Dr. Edward M. Weyer, Jr.(1904-1998) an anthropologist and editor of Natural History Magazine edited this history. Four volume set has cloth boards, green title blocks on the spine having gilt lettering, in brown paper covered slipcase. Slipcase has black-yellow-white wrap around label. Top page-edges are polished. Interiors are tight, clean and unmarked. Opens as new. Never read. Copyright 1958. Title page shows printed in 1958, reverse stated First Printing for each volume.
