The author's memoir that centers around his family legacy: describes his grandfather's journey from a village in Lebanon to Flint, Michigan where he founded Hamady Grocery Stores in 1911, which was taken over by his father--it is, of course, from the point of view of a third generation American whose worldview is considerably different than his predecessors. This is a nice clean, tight and unmarked book with no interior or exterior markings, no previous owner names and no bookplates. It is probably a first edition as there is no information to the contrary. This is a hardcover book, not a later softcover reprint--it does not appear to have been issued with a dust jacket. ; B&W Photographs; 8vo, 8"- 9" tall; 267 pages.
