An Hans Nüchtern mit Wünschen zum Jahreswechsel. - Der Enkel des Generals Hans H.-E. wurde 1923 Bezirkshauptmann in Braunau, in den dreißiger Jahren Sicherheitsdirektor und Staatssekretär, Bundesjustizminister und Bundeskommissär für Kulturpropaganda. Nach dem "Anschluß" Österreichs pensioniert, war er seit 1944 im Konzentrationslager Mauthausen interniert, aus dem er nach Kriegsende befreit wurde, wenig später aber an den Folgen der Lagerhaft verstarb. Hammerstein-Equord schrieb in klassisch-romantischer Tradition Gedichte und historische Romane, seine Autobiographie 'Im Anfang war der Mord' erschien 1981. Vgl. Kosch VII, 247f. - Der aus Wien stammende Journalist und Dramaturg Hans Nüchtern (1896-1962) war seit 1924 Leiter der literarischen Abteilung der RAVAG und unterrichtete auch an der Akademie für Musik und darstellende Kunst sowie am Max Reinhardt-Seminar.
