Risalat Hamza Afandi / Risaletü Hamza Efendi, aggiunto, insieme con altre annotazioni, sul recto del primo foglio da mano diversa da quella del copista. Il titolo s' intravede anche nella prima pagina del manoscritto, corrispondente al verso del primo foglio, dove compare in lettere dorate su sfondo verdone. Colophon nel verso del foglio 31, dove compaiono ulteriori annotazioni, la prima recante il nome del possessore (??), la seconda aggiunta a matita. Nel recto del foglio 32 compare un ulteriore annotazione. Carattere nashi turco ottomano in inchiostro nero; poche rubricazioni in inchiostro rosso; sottolineature in inchiostro rosso; sono presenti segni dorati di separazione tra le frasi o tra brevi paragrafi. Legatura di fine '800 in piena tela marrone. Una debole gora interessa l' angolo interno delle ultime due carte, qualche segno di sporco ai margini esterni di poche carte, peraltro esemplare in stato di conservazione molto buono. La Risaletü l-bey ve s-sira (Trattato della vendita e dell' acquisto) fu composta intorno al 1678 ed è un breve trattato giuridico sulla compravendita. In un commento compilato da Shaykh Seyyid Mustafa b. Seyyid Abdullah Efendi (m. 1730), noto anche con il nome di Tarikatci Emir Efendi, è dichiarato che il trattato di Hamza Afandi fu composto nel 1089 H. / 1678 A.D. Di questo trattatello, ritenuto da Schmidt (2006: 181) relativamente raro, sono noti almeno altri tre manoscritti, due dei quali conservati presso la Biblioteca dell Università di Leiden e uno conservato presso l' Accademia delle Scienze di Torino. Stando all' introduzione, Hamza Efendi lo avrebbe concepito sull' esempio del Vasiyyet-name, un testo sui fondamenti della dottrina e del culto islamico scritto da Birkili Muhammad Afandi / Birgivi (Birgili) Mehmed Efendi (929-81 H. / 1523-73 A.D.), studioso di tradizioni profetiche, diritto e grammatica. La Risaletü Hamza Efendi o Risaletü l-bey ve s-sira è costituita da un prologo (muqaddima), tre capitoli (bab), su compravendita, usura e mezzadria, e da una conclusione (hatima) sui cattivi guadagni. Molto scarse sono le informazioni reperibili su Hamza Efendi, floruit durante il regno del sultano Ahmad / Ahmed III (1115-1143 H. / 1703-1730 A.D.) . Di lui si sa che fu un mufti di Darende in Turchia, allievo di Muhammad Afandi Siwasi e tra i discepoli del mufti Tabaq Afandi e che compose il suo breve trattato a carattere giuridico quando l' Impero Ottomano era governato dal sultano Ahmed III, il cui regno durò dal 1703 al 1730 (Nallino 1900: 97-98).
