British comic actor who played "the put-upon little man" in popular comedies of the 1930s and '40s such as "Rookery Nook." Tremulous old-age signature, dated 1976 August 26, on a heavy stock 5" X 3" card, n.p. Very good. Ink somewhat light, with small skips. Comes with an ALS from Hare's assistant explaining that "he suffered a stroke about 6 months ago." With original envelope.
