Text block has slight separation from spine at head, light scuffing to endpapers and some light stress marks to leaves throughout. Flat signed by Edgerton and Killian on title page. Killian Jr., is a fascinating book that explores how high-speed photography can reveal moments that are normally invisible to the human eye. Edgerton, an MIT scientist and engineer, developed and improved stroboscopic and electronic-flash techniques that allowed him to freeze extremely rapid movements in photographs. The book presents nearly two hundred photographs, including famous images of falling milk drops, athletes and dancers in motion, hummingbirds in flight, and bullets passing through objects.
