Outer edges of pages slightly frayed and stained, but reading portions in fine condition. Spine in very good condition, but slightly sunned.

Edge wear all extremities. In pencil on a blank fly page is the signature Joseph W P Frost. Joseph William Pepperrell Frost (1923-2008) was a prominent historian, civic leader, and avid rare book collector from Eliot, Maine, just across the border from New Hampshire. He was a direct descendant of the colonial hero Sir William Pepperrell and a cousin and lifelong friend of the famous American poet Robert Frost. He was Honorary Past Grand Master and historian at St. John's Masonic Lodge of Portsmouth, New Hampshire The pages are clean bright and the binding strong. All photographs have their appropriate tissue guards. All fold out reproduction documents are present. There is also at the rear an original handwriiten slip of paper dated 1761 (see photo) and a person letter to Joseph Frost from St Johns Masonic Lodge. Please examine all seller photos.
