Quelch (1858-1913), a seminal figure of British Marxism, was an organizer for the South Side Labor Protection League and a key figure in the London Dockers' Strike of 1889. He edited Justice, the official organ of the Social Democratic Federation, and served as business manager of the party's publishing arm The Twentieth Century Press.
