Soft cover. Condition: Good. Pages are clean and unmarked. The last twenty or so pages have a creased lower right corner. Slight soiling and a few marks to front and back covers. Fading to the spine and adjacent strips of the front and back covers from light exposure. Slight wear to top and bottom edges of covers and spine. Corners of front and back covers mildly bent and/or creased. The journal will be bubble-wrapped and shipped in a sturdy box to ensure safe transit. A well-bound chronological survey of the choir's activities between 1948-69, inc. competition and adjudication details, etc. Possibly never published, or intended for publication. Quarto Hardback. Blue cloth with gilt titles and armorial crest to upper board. Measures approx. 10" x 8" (25.5cm x 20cm). Unpaginated. Signed by the author / collator to foot of introduction. Crude bookplate to front pastedown, stating: 'Sidney Smith, 1949-69.' Some minor occasional rubbing to cloth, with small bump to lower fore corner of top board, though quite innocuous. Some old tape marking and foxing to endpapers, with partial foxing to end leaves also. Contents otherwise clean and bright nonetheless. Binding sound. Remains a good original example.
