CONTENTS DESCRIPTION: Scarce Illinois regimental history of the 93rd Infantry. The regiment served in the Western Theater and is identified as one of the Fox 300 Fighting Regiments. Joined Grant's Northern Mississippi Campaign in 1862 and the Yazoo Pass Expedition, Vicksburg and Chattanooga in 1863. Moved into Alabama in 1864 and joined the campaign into Georgia, suffering numerous casualties at Allatoona. The 93rd followed through Georgia and into the Carolinas.
