Hard Cover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Good. Minor creasing to the edges of unclipped dustwrapper, slight fading to the spine of same, otherwise a good clean tight copy of this hard-cover book. The author's autobiography, he was born in 1948 with cerebral palsy which affected his legs. He was in a wheelchair aged ten after experimental surgery, but taught himself to walk again. Once he was mobile, he took up fishing, then fellwalking, sailing, and rock-climbing, eventually climbing Kala Pattar in the Himalayas in 1988. Signed by the author on title page "To . Very best wishes, John Hawkridge". Originally published in January 1991, this is the third impression from February the same year. 246pp, 8pp b&w and 8pp colour illustrations. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Inscribed by Author.
