No Binding. Condition: Collectible-Fine. Signature on beige card by Nathaniel "Natt" Head in black ink. Card adhered to beige paper with Royal Irish Linen, Marcus Ward & Co. watermark. No date, circa 1879-1881. Card measures 5 1/8" x 3 1/8"; paper measures 7 3/4" x 10 3/8." Card reads: "Yours always, Natt Head, Governor." Card, paper, and signature are all very clean and intact. Nathaniel "Natt" Head (1828-1883) was a Republican politician, military officer, and construction material supplier. Head served in the New Hampshire House of Representatives from 1861-1862 and was Adjutant General from 1864-1870. Head also served in the New Hampshire Senate from 1866-1867 and later became the Senate's President pro tempore. Head was Governor of New Hampshire from 1879-1881. Signed by Author(s).
