Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Helen Nyce and Jan Cragin (illustrator). 1st Edition. See photos for condition details. Hardcover with dust jacket. DJ shows chipping and wear along the edges along with scuffing and toning. The front flap of the jacket also has a small price sticker in the upper right corner. The worst part about the DJ is that the underside has been scribbled on with a pencil by a child. The pictoral boards underneath have been well protected by the jacket over the many decades. There is some toning along the edges along with some minor scuffing of the colors are still strong. The internal binding is good and text pages are tight. The front end page also has a price sticker the upper right corner and the backside of the same end page, along with the opposite page which happens to be the back of the frontispiece both show some scribble marks that were erased, although you can still see remnants. All of the text pages are in good shape and clean, no handwriting or scribbling. There are no signatures or bookplates, no library markings etc. Very uncommon to find with the original dust jacket.
