Paul Bogaard, in his "Introduction" to the Harvard Lectures of Alfred North Whitehead (Edinburgh University Press, 2017) described Louise Robinson Heath as an important notetaker for lectures by Whitehead at Radcliffe. Heath (1899-1988) at the time of the lectures was a graduate student at Harvard, taking classes at Radcliffe. "The concept of time" was published while Heath was Professor of Philosophy and Psychology at Hood College in Frederick, Maryland. Forty-six full-page and seventeen smaller black and white text illustrations. Color-plates with descriptive tissue guards. Publisher's original vellum. Front board and spine pictorially stamped ruled and lettered in gilt. Top edge gilt, others uncut. Some minimal soiling and rubbing to vellum. Endpapers with some toning. Overall a very nice copy in the original binding. Originally published in 1914, only one hundred copies of the signed, limited edition (bound in vellum gilt) were issued at the time of publication.
