Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. First edition thus. First edition. Hardcover in light green linen cloth lined in dark green and lettered in brown. 324 pp. Illustrated with full and partial page engravings. Very good, minor spine fade, minor wear at the extremities. Christmas 1900 gift inscription front free endpaper. A collection of German tales in English translation. The stories are mostly family and romance related, only one of which is a Christmas piece. Uncommon.
