An old peasant in upper Bavarian costume is standing below an arch, trading with chickens, cheese, and eggs; he holds a rooster with his left hand, with the other hand he opens a cage in the lower left corner, from which two chickens are putting out their heads. On the cage stands a flat basket with small cheeses. To the left a round basket with eggs. To the right a bag and the farmer's hat. On this bag signed and dated in the plate "JH.
