Good+ condition. Text is in excellent condition. Ink presentation from S. Walterson to Augusta and Theodor Engstrom with hearty regards. Extensively illustrated with famous dish shots in color and black and white. Healthy eating tips interspersed with sophisticated v but accessible traditional Swedish dishes all made with primary ingredients. Hellberg was a Swedish restaurateur, cookbook author, art collector and patron. During the span of his life he raised traditional foods to an art. With his restaurant Brända tomten, Hellberg introduced a new restaurant style in Sweden in 1922. In 1940, he published Sten Hellberg's Swedish cookbook where, in addition to food recipes, he also gave advice on lifestyle habits. Hellberg preferred vegetables to large steaks. Meat and fish dishes were included, but fish dishes were in the majority. The names that Hellberg gave his creations were also original. The book contains recipes from his restaurants: Brända Tomten, Bäckahästen, Beckasinen and Bellmansro. From the collection of legendary Dinkytown bookseller and cookbook collector Melvin McCosh.
