Tables (Orig. red wrpprs AS NEW) Während eine Vielzahl von Untersuchungen zur sprachlichen Situation von türkischen Arbeitsmigranten in Deutschland vorliegt, findet die Tatsache, daß viele der in Deutschland geborenen Kinder und Jugendlichen wieder in ihre Heimat zurückkehren, weit weniger Beachtung. Die vorliegende Arbeit zeichnet den sprachlichen Werdegang dieser sogenannten Rückkehrer nach, wobei auf aktuelle Fragestellungen der Bilingualismusforschung Bezug genommen wird. In Anlehnung an Jim Cummins und seine Unterscheidung zwischen basic interpersonal communicative skills (BICS) und cognitive academic language proficiency (CALP) sowie darauf aufbauende Modelle beschäftigt sich die Arbeit insbesondere mit den schulisch-akademischen Fähigkeiten in beiden Sprachen. Des weiteren werden Analysen zur Sprachwahl vor und nach der Rückkehr, zum Wortschatzreichtum und zu einem möglichen Sprachverlust des Deutschen (language attrition) nach der Rückkehr in die Türkei in die Untersuchung einbezogen.…
