Condition: Very Good. 1st Edition. Very unusal teaching aid for spelling, binding is a metal spiral along the top and bottom, book is divided into two parts horizontally. The upper third is a series of animal illustrations, the bottom third are letters, allowing the teacher to spell the word letter by letter by flipping the letters until they spell the animal's name. Both metal spirals intact, cover colors bright, 1 inch area of paper missing on the rear cover, color bright, instruction page on the bottom third (immediately under the lower front cover) is starting to detach from the spiral but holding, light corner wear. No names, no page marking. This is a very rare children's book. There are only two others listed on the OCLC.
