Old toned tape repair t…o binding split between front flyleaf verso and opposing frontispiece's blank recto; other binding stress points causing several quires to be pulled. Toning to interior leaves with some foxing to b/w plates. Regular pencil, color wax pencil, and ink notes, inscriptions, etc. on early leaves; frequent markings and genealogical notes amongst text mostly done in regular pencil but a few in colored pencil; toning to interior leaves too (notes and markings appear to be most prevalent among text sections regarding Garland, Smith, and Pettingill families). Three old cardstock studio photos of family members laid-in along with some other ephemera evidently all having some genealogical significance. Offers an history of the New Hampshire town with an extensive genealogy and biography section (pages 439-863) followed by "Daniel and Ezekiel Webster. An Address by Hon. Henry P. Rolfe" on pages 865-878.
