Front wrapper has a drawing in black and white of the Manzanar Relocation Center and the rear wrapper has a large black and white photo of Herbert V. and Madeline Waterhouse Nicholson. Just touches of wear to extremities, wrappers clean and bright, corners square and flat, else near fine to fine with no internal markings. This is the story of the Nicholsons' work in Japan as Quaker missionaries and evangelists. Just before WWII, they returned to Pasadena, CA, and ministered among the Nisei, including eventually Manzanar Relocation Center. This book is filled with details of the detention and relocation process, including a map of all the internment centers.
