Hardcover. Sixth edition, first printing. Comprehensive and intended as a practical guide to the clinical study and treatment of diseases and dermatoses of the skin. The strength of this particular work are the 200 illustrations, all in close-up black and white photography, which accompany the clinical descriptions. Includes a formulary chapter. As the author notes, skilled nursing is so essential in the management and treatment of many dermatological conditions that a special section dealing with nursing aspects incorporated. We would typically include photos of the illustrations, but most here would be disturbing to the non-medical professional. Advanced cases appear to dominate as teaching tools. We have included photos of illustration and chapter titles. Very good+. Minor spine separation of 1 3/4 inches (see photo), but the volume is solidly intact. On fewer than five pages, marginalia and underlining of two-three lines. Text block is bright and clean.

Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Good. Irish edition. Very good in good dust jacket. SIGNED and inscribed in 1963 to the former Irish Ambassador to the US "Thomas J Kiernan with best regards" by the author on the first free endpaper. No stated edition or number line, Irish presumed 1st edition. Dust jacket has heavy edgewear, mild scraping, chipping, a closed tear, and soiling. Book has soiling to the edges of the pageblock, a stain on the bottom edge of the pageblock, and shelfwear to the base of the spine. Roger Casement was British diplomat who was convicted of treason and executed in 1916 for trying to bring German arms to the 1916 Easter Uprising that sought to attain Irish independence. Copies of the alleged diaries detailing homosexual activities, were circulated to prevent campaigns for clemency. Some assessments have concluded that these diaries were forged. Mackey is the editor of "Crimes Against Europe: The Writings and Poetry of Roger Casement" and the author of "The Life of Thomas Moore". Rare signed. Where possible, all books come with dust jacket in a clear protective plastic sleeve, sealed in a ziplock bag, wrapped in bubble wrap, shipped in a box. Signed by Author(s).
