Herbert Parrish (20th cent.) was an American painter and illustrator known for his instructional collaborations with the Walter T. Foster art series. His works emphasize classic still-life composition, tonal layering, and the luminous color effects characteristic of post-impressionist oil technique. Parrish's clear, step-by-step teaching style helped generations of artists master floral subjects and painterly realism.
