Condition: Very Good. First edition. Scarce, with only four libraries with holdings shown on OCLC FirstServe (Cambridge and three Danish libraries). Oblong, 23.5 by 31.5 cm. Unpaginated, 20 pp. Charming, playful and colorful illustrations: six full page color plates, two other half page color illustrations, and line drawings thr…oughout text. Much of the verse and illustrations are dedicated to morning foods, food production and preparation. Whimsy comes from these foods being anthropomorphised in some of the illustrations. The color used is of a bright palette, and the artist exemplified a light touch with his lines and free composition. Soiling of the beige cloth spine. Light wear otherwise. Hardcover. Paper pastedown. Cloth spine.
