Book
Hardcover. Condition: Fair. Dust Jacket Condition: No Dust Jacket. FAIR / NO DJ. Former library book. xiv, 555 pp., including indexes of commodities treated, companies, and a general index. A collection of contemporary reviews of the book was cut out and pasted onto the verso of the flyleaf, which has left a stain on the first page of the Introduction. Otherwise, pages are toned but unmarked except for typical library treatments. Includes case studies, and lengthy set of appendices reproducing specific cartel and trade agreements from the time (e.g., Structure of the International Steel Cartel, The Dusseldorf Agreement, World Copper Agreement of 1935, Tri-Party Agreement of 1936 between American-British-Canadian Chemical Industries; etc.) Edges of textblock are all toned, and bottom right edge has dark smudge (shelfwear). Boards are covered in dark green buckram, which is quite worn: shelfwear, rubbing, a couple of scratches. Front cover slightly bubbled around edges (former water damage?). Corners, top and tail of spine are bumped but not worn through. Although looking old and worn, book is quite solid, interior very good.
