Marbled boards with leather spine, decorative gilt lined borader, gilt panel lines, gilt on red label, this clearly quite recent and virtually pristine. vi + 243; faint edge-tanning throughout otherwise clean, tight and unmarked. T.p. has a 'I' below main text suggesting it is Vol.1 but now erased pencil comment claimed it was complete and certainly it appears to be so as a 'II' appears above chapter on p. 173. Much on conjunctivitis and keratisis. Scarce work by the pioneering ophthalmologist, with numerous G & M listings.16 cm x 23 cm.
