Leather backed marbled boards, gilt lettering spine, loss of leather foot of spine, overall very good condition. (91343). William Hodges (1744-1797) was an English painter. He was a member of James Cook's second voyage to the Pacific Ocean. In 1793 Hodges published an illustrated book about his travels in East India. Watkin Tench (1758-1833) was a British marine officer. In 1788 he published a Complete Account of the Settlement at Port Jackson.
