No text is missing. a little spotting, but mild. pages as when new uncut. The collection is scarce with no action records for decades, discovered one in 1894? This collection of first edition (in English) of tales of mystery and the supernatural and romance is a wonderful and rare collection and incudes Hoffman's Madame De Scudari (a novella about half the book in length) + Frederick Schiller "The Dishonoured Irreclaimable" + Jean Paul Richter "The Death of An Angel" + The Moon (A Tale of The imagination) with Langbein "The Bridegroom's Probation" & "The Broken Leg" (2 tales) +Augustus La Fontaine "The Haunted Castle" with T. C. Korner's Woldemar with the final tale by the same writer "The Harp, A Tale Favouring a Belief In Spirits". A book for the literary collector and obscure supernatural and other Gothic grisly tales. Sold with text complete but with loss to preface pages.
