Soft cover. Condition: Near Fine. Emerson, Edward Waldo (illustrator). Facsimile Ed. RARE facsimile edition of this volume (no date listed) originally printed in 1917 with charming b/w illus by Emerson. 6 1/2" x 7". Blue cloth (SOFTCOVER) with gilt lettering & leaf design). 28pp. Based on Hoffman original art but redrawn. Translation made by daughter of a friend of Emerson's who gave him a copy for his children (this info stated in preface). A lovely FACSIMILE volume- also published in hardback. Nine "handwritten stories". No date, but not recent. pre-1950's.

The spine strip has red cloth. 24 pages; color illustrations. The cover has slight, shelf wear soiling, and the top, front corners are lightly bumped. The binder missed catching the centerfold in the staples. Tape stains remain on the inside margins of four pages from an earlier "repair". The fold is now attached with a small thread under each staple. Scans e-mailed upon request. Standard shipping cost in the U.S. will be reduced.
