Chase. This book appeared in England the following year as Heart's Delight (Ward, 1906). Louis Tracy (1863-1928) sometimes used the pseudonym "Gordon Holmes." He occasionally collaborated with M. P. THE ARNCLIFFE PUZZLE, Clode, 1906, first edition, inner front hinge starting, small piece of cloth missing from the head of the somewhat tanned spine, slight wear to three of the four fore edge corner tips, else a near vg copy in the publishers original marvelous pictorial binding depicting a hooded figure holding up a golden question mark against a red circular background. Quite striking and apparently somewhat elusive as well. Actually written by Louis Tracy using the Holmes pseudonym.
