The book has the signature of G. H. Simpson, The Kings Regiment, Rangoon, inside the front of the book and a loosely inserted piece of headed notepaper for 1st Battn. The Kings Regiment on which he has written various orders by Rear Guard. the book also has some pencil lining and notes throughout, presumably by G. H. Simpson. Paper is slightly age toned. Publishers red cloth slightly wrinkled and generally darkened and marked. Still a good solid copy. Frontispiece and 21 loose maps in a pocket at the end. (illustrator).
