Spine, cover, title pages, and copyright page are all titled "The Woods in the Home," however, starting on chapter 1, the rest of the book is titled "The Furniture people." Appears the original title of the book (The Furniture People) may have changed in 1927, but content is still the same. Chapters such as "Velma and the Oak" and "The Old Walnut Sideboard." A girl occupies herself by having imaginary conversations with furniture, in which the natural history of various species of trees is related. 116 pages.
