Litot ». Le général Balland n'était visiblement pas un grand général. Nommé général en 1793, il n'était déjà plus sur la liste des généraux actifs en 1795 et fut mis à la retraite en 1797. Il n'a pas laissé beaucoup de traces. On trouve peu d'informations sur l'horloger Litot. Aucune source ne donne son prénom. Il est signalé dans les almanachs du commerce de Paris jusqu'en 1816 (absent dès 1817). Nous ne trouvons qu'un Claude Litot (1774-1837) enterré au cimetière Montparnasse. Peut-être est-ce lui.
