Condition: Very Good. A small collection of five autographs: of pianists Josef Hofmann (dated June, 1939) and Vladimir Horowitz, opera singers Giovanni Martinelli (dated February, 1940) and Leonard Warren, and one unidentified musician (dated 1946). Compiled by Jerome Korngold, a former member of the Philadelphia Orchestra: two are written on trimmed Post Cards, two are mounted on card stock, and one is written on a blank card. Three are modestly toned, very good overall. Of Jerome Korngold little is known, and he likely is not related to the Austrian-born American composer Erich Wolfgang Korngold. Both Hofmann and Horowitz were celebrated throughout their lives, and Giovanni Martinelli was one of the most famous tenors of the 20th century. Both Martinelli and baritone Leonard Warren were leading artists for many years with the Metropolitan Opera in New York. A nice small cache of desirable autographs.
