Maroon hardback binding, gilt-coloured titles to spine which is lightly colour faded and lightly mottled. Light white spotting to boards and light/moderate wear to boards' corners and spine-ends End-papers a little browned, light foxing to preliminary pages. B&W plates. Binding is tight. Pages have a hint of foxing to a few pages, but generally clean and in nice condition.

Particular emphasis on the peoples of the regions visited. Size: 8vo.

Horne, with every good wish the author presents this book Aaron Hoskin London 25th October 1913" - I would like to think that this is one and the same Dr. Andrew Horne who features in the Lestrygonians chapter in Joyce's Ulysses - Horne was an Irish doctor but was knighted (in London?) by King Edward in 1913, the same year of Hoskins' dedication - please note this is a bookseller's speculation only (!); heavy foxing/tanning to endpapers, medium to prelims and text block, scattered foxing throughout; boards lightly rubbed. no dustwrapper. 335pp. 8vo.
