Contributors include Josef Váchal, Anna Macková, Emmerich Alois Hruska, Broz, etc., with original woodcuts and linocuts, full-page and vignettes, and literary contributions by the artists and friends. Includes a few chapters and illustrations of Váchal's KRVAVÝ ROMÁN in pre-published form as they were in the process of completion, and as first issues they are quite significant in the context of Váchal's oeuvre. Editor Emmerich Alois Hruska (1895-1957) is noted for his graphic work, with special emphasis on the erotic and grotesque. He is often associated with Váchal and considered himself a disciple of JV. Hruska's work and interests drew on the visionary, occult and magical arts. Six library holdings in North America. This set in near fine condition.
