Gruyère): Pont-en-Ogoz, Vuisternens-en-Ogoz. In älterer Zeit sprach man von der Landschaft Ogo auch als von einem Tale. Es ist das Saanetal, soweit es bergiges Gebiet ist. [.] Das Dorf Château d'Oex im alten decanatus de Ogo, heute Hauptort des waadtländischen Pays d'Enhaut, hat seinen Namen nicht etwa, wie Schnürer meint, vom Namen des einstigen Burgherrn [.]. [. In] der ältesten Urkunde über das Pays d'Enhaut bezeichnet Oiz die ganze Talschaft: in valle de Oiz [.].
