Numbers 1-8 saddle-stapled in the original wrappers (some tanning; one issue with chips to the overlapping edges; Number 1 with two small ink emendations); Numbers 9-25 bound in three volumes of black cloth, lettered in gilt on the spines (all but five lacking the wrappers; a few issues shaved at the head or foot; some tanning to the paper; a few ownership signatures and pencil annotations); an excellent run. Number 18 is inscribed and signed by the editor 'For Miles Franklin, with best wishes from Flexmore Hudson'. A 'with compliments' slip inscribed and signed by Hudson, and a subscription form, are loosely inserted. The subtitle later changed to 'The Quarterly of Australasian Verse' (Numbers 13-14), 'The Australian Quarterly of Verse (Numbers 15-16), and finally 'The Australian International Quarterly of Verse' as the publication expanded to include a significant amount of material from international poets.
